Reaching the Unreachable
"Just think, you're here not by chance, but by God's choosing. His hand formed you and made you the person you are. He compares you to no one else-- you are one of a kind.
You lack nothing that His grace can't give you. He has allowed you to be here at this time in history to fulfill His special purpose for this generation."
Outreach Deliverance Center (ODC) was founded by Bishop & Mrs. Marvin Scott on Wednesday, February 1, 1995. Services were held in the Groveton Elementary School located at 6900 Harrison Lane in Alexandria, VA. Opening songs were "Thank You Lord" and "We Have Come Into This House". Opening Scripture - Joel 2:21-32.
The first Sunday service was held at 8:00pm "Bible Study." Our first Sunday Service was February 5, 1995.
Our first visitors were Ena & Janelle Barts of Oxon Hill, Maryland.
Outreach Deliverance Center is a ministry that's going places. This ministry will reach people from all walks of life. We will not allow ourselves to become stagnated. We will not have a beggar's mentality. We are proud, but not to think of ourselves better than others. We will except donations and will allow others to help us. We Will not take from the community. We will make a difference. We are givers (Deut. 28:10-13). God has called us to "Reach the Unreachable."
God will send people to us that others have rejected, people of all races, education and financial status. They will be delivered in the first service. They will not need to go anywhere else. No sickness, no habit or sin will hold them fast. Their testimony will be "I AM DELIVERED."
This ministry is never to be looked upon as something small. A center is where multitudes gather. Everything in accordance with the will of God will be available at this center. Nothing we do will be small, because of the power of God.
Outreach Deliverance Center is a church with goals, vision and a purpose. Goals - Striving to live by the rules set forth by the Word of God; provide available information for the children of God to build a closer relationship with God. Vision - To minister to the whole man. Purpose - To prepare the people for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
As God leads and directs us, we will be leaders in our families, communities and this world. We will "Reach the Unreachable."
